India registered 3,26,098 new cases of Covid-19 in past 24 hours. Top five states which have registered maximum cases are Karnataka with 41,779 cases, followed by Maharashtra with 39,923 cases, Kerala with 34,694 cases, Tamil Nadu with 31,892 cases, and Andhra Pradesh with 22,018 cases.
India registered 3,890 fatalities in the past 24 hours. Maximum casualties were reported in Maharashtra (695), followed by Karnataka with 373 deaths.
India registered a drop in active cases by 31,000, active caseload now stands at 36,73,802.
Karnataka tops the list of maximum cases with the state recording 12.81 per cent of new cases. Maharashtra’s case positivity rate falls, while Karnataka’s continue to be high.
The situation continues to improve in Delhi with fresh cases now below 10,000 mark.
