With means to provide relief to the parents, many ill practices have been chucked off this year. Previously, additional points were given to the child whose parents were proficient in extra co-curricular activities like music, sports. Even the degree of parental education and financial status of parents was considered as a criterion to give points. This year, all such norms have been chucked off from admission norms.
