Lupin to enter Chinese market in next one year:

Mumbai-based pharmaceutical company Lupin is working towards entering the Chinese market in the next one year.

“In fact, last March, a management team was scheduled to visit China to explore prospects. This, however, could not happen due to the pandemic. We were planning to enter the market in 2021, but it got delayed due to the pandemic,” Nilesh Gupta, Managing Director of Lupin, told Business Standard.

USDINR pair continued to hover around USD 73 levels ahead of Union Budget. It has remained largely range bound despite outflows seen from domestic equities.
 
The dollar-rupee February contract on the NSE was at Rs 73.16 in the last session. The open interest increased by 11% for February series.

Market Opens: Indian indices opened higher on February 1 with Nifty above 13,700. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Union Budget today.

At 09:16 hrs IST, the Sensex was up 388.62 points or 0.84% at 46674.39, and the Nifty was up 101.90 points or 0.75% at 13736.50. About 913 shares have advanced, 347 shares declined, and 74 shares are unchanged.

RBI fixes sovereign gold bond issue price:

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has fixed the sovereign gold bond issue price at Rs 4,912 per gram. The Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme 2020-21 – Series XI will be open for subscription from February 1 to February 5, 2021, the central bank said.
