Gold gains on dollar dip; Fed policy cues in focus
Gold prices rose on Tuesday, supported by a softer dollar, while market participants awaited more clarity on the U.S. Federal Reserve’s rate-hike stance.
Spot gold was up 0.7% at $1,753.34 per ounce, as of 0651 GMT. U.S. gold futures rose 0.7% to $1,752.60.

Zydus Lifesciences enters into a business transfer agreement for purchase of Watson Pharma for Rs 46.8 crore
Zydus Lifesciences has entered into a Business Transfer Agreement for purchase of one of the Business Undertakings of Watson Pharma Private Limited on a going concern basis by way of slump sale, without values being assigned to individual assets and liabilities, on cash-free and debt-free basis at a lump-sum consideration of Rs 46.77 crore, subject to certain closing date adjustments as provided in the BTA entered into between the Company and Watson, with effect from such date, and in such manner and on the terms and conditions as mentioned in the BTA.
Zydus Lifesciences was quoting at Rs 406.05, up Rs 6.95, or 1.74 percent on the BSE.
