Mumbai: The prices of petrol and diesel were increased once again on Tuesday after giving the price hike a break for two days.
With the oil marketing companies raising the pump price, the petrol cost has increased by 31-35 paise while diesel prices rose by 33-38 across the major cities in the country.
With this increase, in Mumbai, petrol is now priced at Rs 97.34 per litre, and diesel at Rs 88.44.
The fuel prices are just Rs 2 per litre short of touching Rs 100 per litre in the maximum city.
In Delhi too, petrol and diesel prices were up again in the national capital and stood at Rs 90.83 and Rs 81.32 per litre.
In the past 12 days, petrol and diesel prices have increased by around Rs 3 per litre.
In all other metros, petrol is over Rs 90 a litre mark while diesel is well over Rs 80 a litre.

Premium petrol has crossed the Rs 100 per litre mark in several cities of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra a few days back.
The petrol and diesel prices have increased 25 times in 2021. The two auto fuels increasing by around Rs 7 per litre this year.
