Nissan Magnite compact SUV receives over 50,000 bookings, 10,000 units already delivered – CarToq.com

Nissan Magnite which was launched in the market last year actually became a game changer for the car manufacturer in Indian market. The SUV is a sub-4 meter compact SUV that competes with many other cars like Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300 in the segment. Nissan Magnite received an overwhelming response from the customers. It has now clocked over 50,000 bookings and done over 10,000 wholesale deliveries since its launch. Nissan Magnite became popular among buyers for its value for money proposition.

Since its launch on December 2,2020, the all-new Nissan Magnite has received 2,78,000 plus enquiries with more than 50,000 bookings with 5,000 (10%) bookings on the digital platform and 45,000 through the on-ground bookings at the Nissan dealerships. Approximately 15% of these bookings made were on the CVT models and approximately 60% of them were top end variants that is XV and the XV Premium. As an industry first on Customer delight, Nissan India protected the prices for the already booked customers tdualo ensure that they receive the deliveries of the all-new Nissan Magnite on the booking price despite the change in prices on account of escalation of raw material costs.

Nissan Magnite is available in 20 grade line-up and over 36 combinations. In comparison to many other compact SUVs in the segment, it offers less offers but, the price is what is attracting the customers. When launched, it was the most affordable sub-4 meter compact SUV one could buy in the country. Later this tag was transferred to Renault Kwid which got launched earlier this year.

Nissan Magnite is based on CMF-A platform. this is the same platform that is already being used in Renault Kwid and Renault Triber. Magnite gets a bold looking front with Datsun like front grille, sleek all-LED headlamps, boomerang shaped LED DRLs on the bumper, projector fog lamps and so on.

On the side profile, there are thick body claddings around the wheel arches and around the car. The dual tone machine cut alloy 16 inch wheels give it a distinct look. It even gets functional roof rails with it. At the rear, there is a roof mounted split spoiler with high mounted stop lamp, split tail lamp and  Magnite branding on the boot. Overall, it has a bold and beautiful design to it.

On the inside, it gets a decent looking cabin with features like wireless charging, touchscreen infotainment screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto Connectivity, automatic climate control, fully digital instrument cluster and so on. Magnite is available with two petrol engine options. There is a 1.0 litre, three cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine with manual gearbox option. This engine generates 72 Ps and 96 Nm of torque.  Next engine option is a 1.0 litre, turbocharged engine option which comes with manual and CVT gearbox options. It generates 100 Ps and 160 Nm of peak torque.
