Chinese handset manufacturer Nubia is set to announce its new gaming phone, the Red Magic 3, in India today. The Nubia Red Magic 3 comes with 5,000mAh battery and an industry-first built-in cooling system.
The global unveiling of the phone took place in China a couple of months ago at a starting price of 3,199 yuan (around ₹33,205). The 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB variants were launched at 3,499 yuan and 4,299 yuan, respectively.
Going by its Chinese launch, the 6.65-inch FHD HDR AMOLED display boasts 90Hz refresh rate and 240 Hz touch refresh rate for smooth gaming.
It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and Adreno 640 GPU and is available in three RAM and storage variants — 6GB 128GB, 8GB 128GB and 12GB 256GB. The Red Magic 3 also features up to 30W quick charging, an hour of gameplay with a 10-minute charge. It also comes with touch-sensitive shoulder triggers that provide additional hardware buttons without the need for a gamepad accessory.
In terms of optics, the Red Magic 3 comes with a 48MP rear camera (featuring the Sony IMX586 sensor) and a 16MP front camera and runs Android 9 operating system. It can even record videos in 8K resolution and slo-motion videos in 1920 fps. The previous standard for super-slo mo videos was set at 960fps by the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus.
No gaming device is complete without LED lights, and this smartphone is no exception. It comes with an RGB LED accent lighting system.
The smartphone is set to go against the Asus ROG Phone and the recently launched Black Shark 2.
