OnePlus 7 Pro first sale: Not all variants would be made available tomorrow, here’s the schedule

The OnePlus 7 Pro’s first sale will commence on 14 May. The smartphone was launched at an event in Bengaluru on 15 May along with the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus Wireless Bullets V2 earphones.

One trim at a time

OnePlus has spaced out the sales of its new devices quite a bit by making only a few variants of the OnePlus 7 Pro available on Friday. Only the OnePlus 7 Pro in its 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB variants in the Mirror Grey trim would be available for sale on Friday. The two variants cost 48,999 and 52,999 respectively.

OnePlus 7 Pro’s Nebula Blue trim in 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB storage variants would be made available on 28 May. These two variants are priced at 52,999 and 57,999 respectively.

Finally, OnePlus 7 Pro’s Almond trim in 8GB/256GB configuration would be available sometime in June—the company hasn’t put a tentative date for this launch. In fact, OnePlus hasn’t put out the sale schedule for the “regular” OnePlus 7, which is also expected to launch next month.

The new Bullets have a price of 5,990. OnePlus has simply said “coming soon” for their date of arrival.

Customers were already given a chance to purchase the OnePlus 7 Pro at the limited stock pop-ups in Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune and Ahmedabad on 15 May 2019. Delhi would get another OnePlus Experience pop-up sale on 17 May 2019.

Sales channels and offers

The new OnePlus 7 line-up would be available online via Amazon and and offline through Reliance Digital outlets, MyJio stores and Croma outlets. Customers are entitled to launch offers including up to 2,000 cashback on purchase using SBI debit and credit cards offers from Jio to provide benefits worth 9,300 and an assured buyback value of 70% on exchange through Servify. Additionally, up to 6 months of no-cost EMI is also available on select channels.

The OnePlus 7 Pro comes with a 6.67-inch Fluid AMOLED display panel with a QHD+ resolution and refresh rate of 90Hz. It is powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 855 SoC paired with three RAM and storage configurations that max out at 12GB/256GB. It comes with a “RAM Boost” mode that allows apps to load from RAM memory instead of ROM, hence reducing app load times. It is also the first smartphone to ship with UFS 3.0 memory which offers speeds up to 79% faster than the previous UFS 2.1 standard.

At the back, it sports a 48MP+16MP+8MP combination. The 16MP and 18MP sensors have wide-angle and telephoto lenses respectively. The front-facing pop-up mechanism houses a 16MP camera. The phone is backed by a 4,000mAh battery. It runs Android Pie 9 with OnePlus’ proprietary OxygenOS running atop.
