BENGALURU: Petrol price on Friday crossed the Rs 100-a-litre mark in Bengaluru.
In Bengaluru, petrol now costs Rs 100.17 a litre, whereas diesel is priced at Rs 92.97 per litre.
Records show petrol was priced at Rs 71.91 in March 2020 (Rs 28.79-increase now).
Diesel prices went up from Rs 64.41 per litre in March 2020 to Rs 92.97 now, a hike of Rs 28.56 in 15 months.
In Karnataka, districts like Bidar, Bellary, Koppal, Davanagere, Shivamogga and Chikmagalur already recorded Rs 100 per litre petrol. In Bellary, petrol was sold at Rs 102.05 per litre and Rs 94.7 litre for diesel on Friday.
