President Ram Nath Kovind on Saturday addressed the nation on the eve of 71st Republic Day. He said that our constitution has given some rights to all of us as citizens of an independent democracy. “But within the Constitution itself, we have also taken the responsibility that we should always be committed to the fundamental democratic ideals of justice, liberty and equality and brotherhood,” he added.

President Ram Nath Kovind: “Through the implementation of the GST, we have realised the concept of ‘one country, one tax, one market’. Simultaneously, the process of creating a ‘one market for one nation’ is being strengthened by the ‘E-Naam’ scheme, which will benefit the farmers.”
President Ram Nath Kovind: “Through the ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi’, more than 14 crore farmers, brothers and sisters are entitled to a minimum income of Rs 6,000 per year. This is helping our donors to live a respectable life.”
President Ram Nath Kovind: “Due to public participation, ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ has achieved impressive success in a very short time. This same spirit of participation is also reflected in the efforts being made in other areas – whether to give up LPG subsidy, or to promote digital payments.”
President Kovind: For public welfare, the government has launched several campaigns. It is particularly noteworthy that citizens have voluntarily given those campaigns the form of popular mass movements.
