NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading lower in Thursday’s morning session.
Shares of Just Dial (down 1.13 per cent) , Tata Elxsi (down 0.84 per cent) , Infosys (down 0.47 per cent) , Tata Consultancy (down 0.26 per cent) , HCL Technologies (down 0.1 per cent) and Wipro (down 0.06 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty IT index was trading 0.12 per cent down at 15759.45 around 09:53 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 2.85 points at 12211.7 , while the BSE Sensex was 5.18 points at 41456.08 .
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 23 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, SAIL, Tata Steel, SBI, BPCL, BHEL, Union Bank India and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
