WhatsApp rival Telegram adds new features on latest update: Details here

WhatsApp’s closest rival Telegram has recently rolled out new and unique feature for its users. The social messaging app for mobile and desktop has released a feature known as ‘Polls 2.0’, which will essentially enable users to conduct various types of polls within the chat groups and channels.

With the Polls 2.0 feature, which has been released in the app’s version number 5.14, users will be able to explore three new kinds of Telegram Polls – Visible Votes, Multiple Answers and Quiz Mode.

The new Telegram feature aims to enrich the learning experience of users by generating polls and creating and expressing opinions by way of various poll options on groups and channels on the app.

The feature is live right now and you can access it via the attachment menu. On the attachment menu, there is now a Poll option where users can follow simple steps from the menu and choose one of the three poll type.

According to the company, this new feature can enhance the experience of users to create opinions, generate polls and be used by learning and education channels to create objective based learning through multiple choice questions (MCQs) and subject based quizzes.

Creating a poll is made easy by simply typing the question, add answer options, choose the settings that you think are the best and send it.

The other option is the Quiz Bot. Through this option, users wil get the option to create multi-question quizzes with additional text and media capability and share them with others.

This enables its users to create exam-style prompts with graphs and tables. Users can answer on the groups, channels, or personally, as well. The Bot can also keep a tap that how many answers were right, time taken by a user and upload it to a global leaderboard Telegram has created.

Apart from this, there are also certain minor tweaks on the app such as yup can customize the message bubble corners, which means you can adjust how round (or square) you want them to look.
