WPI Inflation eases yet again; recorded 2.48% in February as food, veggies get cheaper

The Wholesale Price Index (WPI) for the month of February was recorded 2.48%

The Wholesale Price Index (WPI) for the month of February was recorded 2.48%, easing yet again on lower food prices as compared to 2.84% in the previous month. The WPI Inflation is in line with the ET Now poll which had estimated the index to be at 2.4%.

The WPI index was eased in the month of February on lower food, vegetable and fuel prices. The February WPI food inflation was recorded at 0.07% as compared to 1.65% in January, while the WPI fuel and power inflation were recorded 3.81% as compared to 4.08% in January.
