You will hear more from Poco in 2020, hints global head before deleting tweet

In what may come as an anticipation to a new smartphone from Pocophone, the company’s global head Alvin Tse hinted that the successor of the Poco F1 will launch in 2020 just before he deleted the tweet from his official account.

In that tweet, Tse had claimed, “You will hear more from POCO in 2020.” The launch of Poco F1’s successor, namely Poco F2, is quite evident as the brand, unveiled by Xiaomi in 2018, had launched its debut phone, Poco F1 in that year. There was no successor launched this year.

As of now, there has been no official announcement with regard to the smartphone’s features or price or even its launch date. All that is known is that the new phone may come anytime in the next year.

If reports and leaks are to be believed, the Poco F1 successor may have a notch-less display along with a pop-up selfie camera. It may also reportedly have an in-display fingerprint scanner and a triple camera setup at the back.

As for the price and specifications of Poco F1 (2018), the Xiaomi’s hottest selling device has the current price tag of 14,990 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The smartphone runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC processor. When launched, Poco F1 with its features and price tag gave a tough competition to other Chinese smartphone brands in India and soon became a proffered choice among consumers.

Continuing on those lines, with the unveiling of Poco F2, Xiaomi could offer flagship-level specifications on this phone at an affordable price.
