NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea with over 2.15 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Monday.
Shares of YES Bank (number of shares traded: 1.98 crore) , ITC (number of shares traded: 0.96 crore) , Tata Motors (number of shares traded: 0.78 crore) , SBI (number of shares traded: 0.74 crore) , Indian Oil Corp (number of shares traded: 0.41 crore) , Ibull HousingFin (number of shares traded: 0.39 crore) , SAIL (number of shares traded: 0.39 crore) , Karur Vysya Bank (number of shares traded: 0.36 crore) and BEL (number of shares traded: 0.35 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE. RIL (Rs 327 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.
It was followed by HDFC (Rs 243.31 crore) , SBI (Rs 220.71 crore) , ITC (Rs 203.57 crore) , IndusInd Bank (Rs 149.80 crore) , TCS (Rs 147.15 crore) , ICICI Bank (Rs 139.67 crore) , Tata Motors (Rs 125.82 crore) , ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Ltd. (Rs 117.84 crore) and Axis Bank (Rs 110.18 crore).
The NSE Nifty index was trading 30.55 points down at 11,631.3, while the BSE Sensex was down 95.14 points at 39,640.39 around 09:33 am.
In the Nifty index, Asian Paints (up 2.32 per cent) , IndusInd Bank (up 1.64 per cent) , Indian Oil Corporation (up 1.47 per cent) , Coal India (up 1.21 per cent) and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories (up 1.07 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Bharti Infratel (down 4.43 per cent) , YES Bank (down 3.69 per cent) , ITC (down 3.17 per cent) , Hero MotoCorp (down 2.23 per cent) and Tata Motors (down 1.84 per cent) were the top losers.
