Buzzing stocks: YES Bank, SBI, RIL, Vodafone Idea

NEW DELHI: YES Bank with over 2.09 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Tuesday.

Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 0.50 crore), Reliance Comm (number of shares traded: 0.37 crore), GTL Infra (number of shares traded: 0.34 crore), Dish TV India (number of shares traded: 0.31 crore), Reliance Infra (number of shares traded: 0.27 crore), SBI (number of shares traded: 0.18 crore), JP Associates (number of shares traded: 0.14 crore), Tata Motors (number of shares traded: 0.12 crore) and JSPL (number of shares traded: 0.11 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE.

YES Bank (Rs 106.11 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.

It was followed by SBI (Rs 59.76 crore), RIL (Rs 54.95 crore), Maruti Suzuki (Rs 52.00 crore), HDFC (Rs 47.55 crore), TCS (Rs 31.43 crore), NIIT Tech (Rs 31.20 crore), Tata Steel (Rs 30.41 crore), Indiabulls Housing (Rs 27.95 crore) and Zee Entertainment (Rs 27.72 crore).

The NSE Nifty index was trading 14.9 points up at 12,277.65, while BSE Sensex was up 30.84 points at 41,673.5 around 09:21 am.

In the Nifty index, YES Bank (up 2.11 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone (up 1.01 per cent), Hero MotoCorp (up 0.97 per cent), Zee Entertainment Enterprises (up 0.92 per cent) and Grasim Industries (up 0.79 per cent) stood among top gainers.

While HCL Technologies (down 0.67 per cent), Infosys (down 0.56 per cent), Wipro (down 0.39 per cent), HDFC Bank (down 0.29 per cent) and Reliance Industries (down 0.29 per cent) remained top losers of the day.
