CISF personnel to check Aarogya Setu App to allow entry into terminals: AAI protocol – Times of India

NEW DELHI: You will have to reach airports at least two hours before flight time — wearing masks and gloves — from Monday when domestic flights resume and mandatorily need to download the Aarogya Set App on your smart phones which will be checked at the gate by CISF personnel to allow entry.
Only children below 14 years of age will not require this app, according to the “standard operating procedure (SOP) for recommencement of domestic flights” issued by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) on Thursday.
The SOPs issued by AAI ED (operations) V A Chourey are guidelines and individual airports will be allowed to take any other precautionary steps they deem fit. “The aviation ministry will be issuing final SOPs separately later on Thursday,” said a senior AAI Official.

More on Covid-19
Social distancing of at least one-metre will be mandatory and flexi glass shields will be used at places where interaction, like check-in points, is needed.
Further, announcements will be constantly made — reminding everyone to maintain social distancing and wear masks and gloves. Golf carts used by persons with reduced mobility will also be sanitised regularly and special emphasis will be on cleanliness across airports.
While open air ventilation has been advised wherever possible instead of central AC, the air in circulation will need to be refreshed wherever air-conditioning is a must.
Any passenger or airline/airport staffer showing symptoms will be handled as per government guidelines. All airports will have a dedicated isolation area for suspected or confirmed corona patients.
Boarding will be done in batches to avoid passengers crossing each other. This means, people in last rows will be asked to board first. While, people in front will be asked to alight first to avoid crowding each other. Checked-in baggage will be disinfected before being handed over to passengers.
