OPPO F15 with 48MP AI quad cam launch date revealed, key specs confirmed

Chinese handset maker OPPO has finally confirmed the launch date of one of its most-hyped smartphones of this year, the OPPO F15. In a teaser posted on Amazon India, the company announced that it would unveil the smartphone on 16 January, 2020. Along with the launch date, the company also revealed a few major specifications that set the smartphone apart from its predecessors.

Oppo F15 specifications:

The Oppo F15, which is touted to be an upgrade to Oppo F11 Pro and Oppo F9 Pro, will come with a an AI-powered quad rear camera setup. As teased in the poster, the new smartphone will come with 48MP primary camera at the back and promises to deliver “high-quality pictures.”

The new device will also support VOOC Flash Charge 3.0 for fast charging. The fast-charging technology will offer users 2-hour talk time within 5 minutes of charge. The OPPO F15 will also come with the new in-display fingerprint 3.0 sensor. Through its teaser, OPPO also confirmed that the new handset will house at least 8GB of RAM.

Apart from these features, the Chinese smartphone maker has not revealed more details on the specifications such as the processor, the battery capacity etc or the price of the phone before the launch.

F15’s predecessors, F11 Pro and F9 Pro grabbed attention for their elegant design, camera capabilities and massive battery backup. The new F15 will only push the bar further on establishing new bnchmark, the company said in a statement to media reports.

Additionally, the Chinese smartphone maker recently unveiled Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro with 5G support.
