Share market update: BSE Capital Goods index down; HEG dips 1%

NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was down in Tuesday’s afternoon session.

Shares of Kalpataru Power Transmission (up 1.46 per cent) , Bharat Electronics (up 0.95 per cent) , Lakshmi Machine Works (up 0.6 per cent) , NBCC (India) (up 0.58 per cent) , Bharat Heavy Electricals (up 0.47 per cent) , Hindustan Aeronautics (up 0.27 per cent) , ABB India Ltd (up 0.23 per cent) , Carborundum Universal (up 0.22 per cent) , Finolex Cables (up 0.12 per cent) , Havells India (up 0.11 per cent) and Solar Industries India (up 0.07 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While HEG (down 0.92 per cent) , Thermax (down 0.87 per cent) , Schaeffler India (down 0.87 per cent) , AIA Engineering (down 0.63 per cent) , V-Guard Industries (down 0.49 per cent) , Larsen & Toubro (down 0.46 per cent) , Siemens (down 0.45 per cent) , Graphite India (down 0.39 per cent) , Honeywell Automation India (down 0.32 per cent) , Sadbhav Engineering (down 0.09 per cent) and SKF India (down 0.01 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.29 per cent down at 16927.43 around 11:39 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 43.15 points at 12212.7 , while the BSE Sensex was 145.78 points at 41,412.22.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 29 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Spicejet, SAIL, Tata Motors, Sterlite Tech, Vakrangee , Adani Green Energy Ltd. and Bank of Baroda were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
