NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was down in Tuesday’s afternoon session.
Shares of Lakshmi Machine Works (down 4.55 per cent), Siemens (down 2.53 per cent), Sadbhav Engineering (down 2.37 per cent), Bharat Electronics (down 1.82 per cent), Havells India (down 0.92 per cent), AIA Engineering (down 0.88 per cent), V-Guard Industries (down 0.76 per cent), Finolex Cables (down 0.57 per cent), HEG (down 0.47 per cent), SKF India (down 0.37 per cent), Elgi Equipments (down 0.35 per cent), Larsen & Toubro (down 0.26 per cent), ABB India Ltd (down 0.18 per cent), Honeywell Automation India (down 0.1 per cent) and Thermax (down 0.04 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.48 per cent down at 17,481.72 around 11:38 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 8.90 points at 12127.9 , while the BSE Sensex was up 54.86 points at 41209.98 .
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 were trading in the green, while 31 were in the red.
Shares of Narayana Hrudayalaya, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NTPC, SAIL, Wockhardt, Tata Motors, Vedanta , JSPL and United Spirits were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
