NEW DELHI: FMCG shares were trading with losses in Friday’s morning session.
Shares of Jubilant Foodworks (down 1.05 per cent) , Godrej Industries (down 0.99 per cent) , ITC (down 0.88 per cent) , Marico (down 0.72 per cent) , United Spirits (down 0.7 per cent) , Hindustan Unilever (down 0.7 per cent) , Colgate Palmolive (India) (down 0.47 per cent) , Britannia Industries (down 0.4 per cent) , Tata Global Beverages (down 0.16 per cent) , Dabur India (down 0.12 per cent) and P & G Hygiene (down 0.09 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty FMCG index was trading 0.49 per cent down at 30238.55 around 10:37 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 3.20 points at 12256.5 , while the BSE Sensex was down 12.4 points at 41661.52 .
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, SBI, BHEL, Bank of Baroda, Tata Motors, Bharti Infratel, JSPL and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
