NEW DELHI: The domestic equity index BSE Sensex was trading 49.31 points up at 41,691.97 on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Shares of MVL (up 100.00 per cent), Patspin India (up 17.19 per cent), Goenka Diamond (up 16.67 per cent), Oil Country Tub (up 16.18 per cent), Nitin Fire Prot (up 14.29 per cent) and Gammon Infra (up 12.50 per cent) were among the top performers.
Lloyds Steels Industries (up 11.11 per cent), Cox & Kings Financial Services (up 11.11 per cent), Manaksia Steels (up 9.96 per cent) and Zodiac JRD MKJ (up 9.85 per cent) too were trading 9-11 per cent higher at around the same time.
The Nifty 50 index was trading 16.75 points up at 12,279.50. Among the 50 components in the Nifty index, 40 shares were trading in the green, while 10 were in the red.
