NEW DELHI: Media shares were trading in the red in Tuesday’s afternoon session.
Shares of Jagran Prakashan (down 2.15 per cent) , Zee Media Corporation Ltd (down 1.67 per cent) , Dish TV India (down 1.12 per cent) , Zee Entertainment (down 1.02 per cent) , Network 18 Fincap (down 0.61 per cent) , Music Broadcast (down 0.53 per cent) , Sun TV Network (down 0.5 per cent) , Saregama India (down 0.22 per cent) and DB Corp (down 0.19 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty Media index was trading 0.25 per cent down at 1825.65 around 11:45 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 43.75 points at 12,212.1 , while the BSE Sensex was 149.25 points at 41,408.75.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were trading in the green, while 30 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Motors, SAIL, SBI, JSPL, Bank of Baroda, Ashok Leyland and Vedanta were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
