NEW DELHI: Media shares were trading on a mixed note in Thursday’s afternoon session.
Shares of Dish TV India (up 1.54 per cent) , Network 18 Fincap (up 1.52 per cent) , DB Corp (up 0.56 per cent) , Zee Entertainment (up 0.41 per cent) , Balaji Telefilms (up 0.39 per cent) , Jagran Prakashan (up 0.33 per cent) and Sun TV Network (up 0.27 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Zee Media Corporation Ltd (down 1.53 per cent) , TV18 Broadcast (down 1.14 per cent) , Hathway Cable & Datacom (down 0.51 per cent) , PVR (down 0.41 per cent) , TV Today Network (down 0.41 per cent) , Inox Leisure (down 0.26 per cent) , Music Broadcast (down 0.18 per cent) and Saregama India (down 0.11 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty Media index was trading 0.12 per cent up at 1768.05 around 11:57 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 17.80 points at 12239.45 , while the BSE Sensex was up 64.69 points at 41623.26 .
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, SBI, Bank of Baroda, SAIL, Tata Steel, JSPL and NMDC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
