NEW DELHI: Telecom shares were trading in the positive zone in Monday’s morning session.
Shares of Tejas Network (up 7.77 per cent) , Sterlite Technologies (up 4.2 per cent) , Aksh Optifibre (up 4.17 per cent) , OnMobile Global (up 2.65 per cent) , Vindhya Telelinks (up 2.09 per cent) , Optiemus Infracom (up 1.27 per cent) , Bharti Infratel Ltd (up 1.12 per cent) , GTPL Hathway (up 0.97 per cent) , ITI (up 0.6 per cent) and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (up 0.31 per cent) were among the top gainers.
The S&P BSE Telecom index was trading 0.26 per cent up at 1128.41 around 11:07 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 51.70 points at 12204.15 , while the BSE Sensex was down 185 points at 41373.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 13 were trading in the green, while 36 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Spicejet, SAIL, Tata Motors, Adani Green Energy, Vakrangee , Sterlite Tech and Bank of Baroda were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
