Stock Market LIVE Updates: Indian equity benchmarks started the last session of the trading week with a bang with the S&P BSE Sensex index surpassing the 60,000 mark for the first time ever. Buying across sectors led by sharp gains in banking and IT shares pushed the market higher, however losses in metal shares played spoilsport. Realty stocks were also in high demand. Broader market supported overall gains in the market, with the midcap and smallcap indices rising more than half a percent each.
