NEW DELHI: Shares of auto companies were in the green in Monday’s morning trade.
Shares of TVS Motor Company (up 1.26 per cent), Bosch (up 0.85 per cent), Exide Industries (up 0.81 per cent), Amara Raja Batteries (up 0.76 per cent) and Ashok Leyland (up 0.75 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While MRF (down 0.39 per cent), Bharat Forge (down 0.31 per cent) and Tata Motors (down 0.23 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty Auto index was trading 0.43 per cent up at 8,168.65 around 10:28 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 0.30 points at 12,271.5, while the BSE Sensex was 31.8 points at 41,649.74.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, Indiabulls Housing, SAIL, SBI, Bank of Baroda, JSPL, Vedanta and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
