NEW DELHI: Most of the sugar stocks were trading on a mixed note in Monday’s afternoon session.
Shares of Piccadily Sugar (up 4.72 per cent), Gayatri Sugars (up 3.85 per cent), Simbhaoli Sugars (up 3.28 per cent), Kesar Enterprise (up 1.97 per cent) and Dhampur Sugar Mills (up 1.11 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Dharani Sugars & Chemicals (down 4.11 per cent), Rana Sugars (down 3.85 per cent), Ponni Sugars (Erode) (down 1.85 per cent), Vishwaraj Sugar Industries (down 1.80 per cent) and Sakthi Sugars (down 1.73 per cent) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 2.40 points down at 12,269.4, while the 30share BSE Sensex was down 39.59 points at 41,641.95 at around 12:15 pm.
Vedanta (up 1.94 per cent), Hero MotoCorp (up 1.8 per cent), Maruti Suzuki (up 1.13 per cent), Bajaj Finance (up 0.99 per cent) and Tata Motors (DVR) (up 0.76 per cent) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Reliance Industries (down 1.9 per cent), Bharti Airtel (down 0.63 per cent), Tech Mahindra (down 0.59 per cent), Asian Paints (down 0.56 per cent) and ICICI Bank (down 0.41 per cent) were trading in the red.
